Day 18 - To Singapore

 We arrived in Singapore at a bit after 8 am. It was only a 4 hour flight, but felt really cramped.  We did a bit of duty free shopping at the Cochin airport before leaving. On arrival we got our bearings and set about trying to find some transport to get us all and our luggage to the hotel, on Sentosa Island. There was a desk selling great deals, promising room for 6 people and all the luggage. Well- it was all good till we got outside and the driver refused to take us all !!  KJ had to ring the company and explain the facts of life to them to get the matter resolved.

Eventually we arrived at the Village Hotel Sentosa at around 10 am. Luckily they had our rooms ready, and we were able to drop all our gear off to our rooms on the top floor (7th) and the far end of the hotel. All adjoining rooms)

We decided to have lunch in the hotel restaurant and ordered off the menu. It was very expensive ! So Dave and I shared a pizza.

We next checked out the Aquarium at Resorts Island. We got there on the Monorail which crosses between mainland Singapore and various stops on Sentosa Island.

The S.E.A Aquarium is fantastic. Heaps of different sea creatures to see, all well displayed, including a huge tank, that you can view like in a theatre. You can get up close as well

It had been a long day since we left Kochi, so we had an icecream and the kids had a play outside then back to the hotel.

 We had a room service dinner and off to bed early. I had the best nights sleep for a very long time, not waking at all during the night and eventually waking the next morning at 8.30 am !
